Hello! My name is Sadie Willemon, and I’m a freelance illustrator based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I graduated from MIAD with a BFA in Illustration, and I enjoy making fun and colorful illustrations! My art would be best suited for personal commissions and children’s books.
Wisconsin Fossils: Final Thesis Project
For my thesis project senior year at MIAD, I had a great time writing and illustrating a children’s book all about some of the fossils found in Wisconsin! Along with a hand made book, I also made bookmarks and 70 different and unique clay fossil magnets.
My five final spreads are a combination of traditional watercolor paintings and ripped paper scanned into photoshop, then placed together in a scrapbook like layout. With the watercolor paintings and paper I added crayons and colored pencils for added texture.
